The Beautiful Jispa 2006

The second year in Jispa is far better than the previous year. The customers came to the camp in larger number but, we have to prepare food of our own. Thanks God, it was Gombo who managed the kitchen so well. We had staffs also to look after the camp and clients. The location of the camp is simply awesome and hence the heavenly retreat in the trans-himalaya.

Tushita at Jispa ,2005

I was working with National Manuscripts in Ladakh and visiting monasteries to do the documentation of the old manuscripts written on hand made paper , few of them written in Gold & Silver. I left the job and started thinking of doing something in the field of tourism. At that period my friend Gombo was in Goa pursuing his hotel management course. When I contact him on phone about my planning he agreed and left Goa. In a few days we decided to set up a camp. Place.......Jispa or Sarchu? We agreed upon Jispa and started working. We were late and it was only in the month of July that we pitched our tents at Jispa. We had no bookings. We were raw in the field but we undertook our journey. Our first client was Mr. Gopi , a software engineer from Bangalore. He was all alone on his Royal Enfield . One fine evening Mr. Subash came and booked all our tents . Our camp got lively and we got busy chatting with the Dutch students going for the Marka Trek in Ladakh. This is in Tushita Camps at Jispa .*
